A LITTLE MORE TO KNOW
Good questions.
Which countries can I play?
The library spans countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Oceania. England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland each have their own map.
How does a round work?
First find the named region on the country map. The map then zooms in and shows city markers. In Seat mode, select its administrative centre; in Fact mode, select the city that matches the clue.
How does scoring work?
A correct region or city adds points; a wrong selection subtracts. Wrong city answers reveal a fact and let you try again.
How is it different from World Map?
World Map works on the globe with countries and continents. Country Maps zooms inside a single country to its regions, capitals, and cities.
Do I need an account?
No. Country Maps works without an account on iPhone, iPad, and the web.
Where can I play?
Country Maps is designed for iPhone and iPad and is also available as a full browser app on the web.
Can I use local-language names?
Yes. English is the default, and each map offers the local languages configured for that country. Multilingual countries can offer more than one.
